Ruby falls is the nation s tallest and deepest underground waterfall open to the public. Availability is limited and tours sell out quickly. Cave adventures are by reservation only and tickets must be purchased online in advance. In response to covid 19 ruby falls a reduced number of tickets are available daily and a face covering is required for ages two and older.

From the beautiful turret outside built from rocks excavated from the site to the beautiful rock formations and at the center of it all the amazing waterfall illuminated by stunning lights however the waterfall and formations in the cave really are spectacular and the tour guide provided interesting information including the history of the cavern s discovery in the early 20th century. The breathtaking falls were accidentally discovered by leo lambert in 1928 deep within lookout mountain in chattanooga tennessee. Lambert named the falls after his wife ruby and opened the chattanooga attraction to the public in 1929. However during the current pandemic i would not recommend anyone do this tour.
