Chalk Paint Black Bathroom Cabinets

I want to paint my kitchen cabinets and since chalk paint doesn t require much sanding it would be great to use chalk paint as a primer and then use a high end cabinet paint to give it the smooth finish i m looking for that i can t get from chalk paint.
